2568, 25 of hearts. Blinds at 15/30, very early. Play it or fold it?

I folded. A-5 Straight Flush on the turn :(

I still think this was the right play, but maybe someone can give some perspective.

I don't play much Omaha. BigD is the expert so he'll probably tell me I'm wrong, but I'd probably play it with low blinds and take a chance, especially as I know how sites love to flop flushes (quite often with a paired board which means trouble). The usual problem is if you hit a straight or flush it wont be the nut one.

if you can limp in, you have to play that. this was hi/lo, right? so very least you've got good low cards.

when i play MTTS they are almost always O8, becase they varience is much smaller and i have a good grasp of the game having played cash O8 for several months last year.

This hand is dependent on a lot, and you need to give us more information tbh.

1) are you in the blinds - if yes fold. All omaha games rely on position more than in holdem. TBH this is a jnk hand, you are only ever good for a scoop on an expact board of A34xx, with the xx being high cards that don't pair the board, can you see how unlikely this to happen.

However, if its limped around and there are 4 or 5 people in the pot already and yo are in the CO/BTN, then it may be worth a call just to try and get half the pot, which in mltiway action is always worth wining.

I dont like the hand and would neve play it personally, it think it is very -ev andf the 25 of hearts is useless the suits are only good when you have a Ace in the low.

This hand would be very playable if it was A256 with A2 suited

sorry it took me so long to respond my friend.

Night owl has it pretty much covered I think. Two things to add:

1. even if the A34 hits you still have a decent chance of splitting. Especially in the early rounds, any combo of the nut low with 2 cards 5 and under usually go along for the ride. The only scoop here is hitting quads with two big unpaired cards.

2. Multi-way action is good in some aspects and bad in others. The only way multi-way action lasts post flop is if there will most likely be a chop pot. Sometimes the turn and river co-operate and give someone a scoop but most times, it's a chop. It's even worse if A-2-4-5 hits the board. then there actually are circumstances where it's CORRECT to muck the nut low.

Most of my dollars come from contract installations for blinds. Home Depot being a major ticket. This is were I get most of my window film customers.
I started selling interior shutters last year too. Real good money in those.
By I do not sell blinds and probably never will.

Was tempted to delete this post but didnt for now. Pm me and we can talk about this, my son is in this business and has done many high end homes for movie and tv people as well as new hotels around the country.
